Evaluation and Design

All performance-enhancement efforts begin with a thorough evaluation of the existing environment and the development of clear business and performance goals. The evaluation process will help clearly define the reasons for undertaking a project, the challenges likely to be encountered and the benefits the project is expected to deliver.

We work with key stakeholders and staff to build an information base that will identify current functionality, existing limitations and desired objectives. This will guide the decision-making process and provide a basis for project guidelines and benchmarks.

Using customized scripts to gather data, we then produce detailed documentation of all IT assets, as well as current performance and operational practices. This basic health check identifies resource constraints, existing issues and potential problems, along with recommended improvements.

In the design phase, we develop the functional and technical specifications for the project. This might include specific details about scripting languages, development models, database and storage requirements, legacy interface specifications, and more.
