Achieve Scalable, Flexible Infrastructure with a Guided Migration

Simplify your operations and safeguard your data with a migration to Microsoft Azure. For nearly a decade, in addition to our general Azure support services, AdaptivEdge has been helping clients evaluate, design, plan, and migrate on-premises systems and workloads to Microsoft Azure. In that time, Azure’s capabilities and offerings have grown tremendously, making it more advantageous than ever to make the move from data center to the cloud.

However, not every application or workload will be a good financial or technical fit for migration to Azure. We’ll help you feel confident in your decision by assisting with the evaluation process, including application workload inventory, cost analysis, and operational benefit analysis.

The Benefits of Migrating to Azure with AdaptivEdge

The benefits of Azure Cloud are ever-expanding, far outstripping traditional on-premises IT infrastructure. Companies that embrace cloud-native technology like Azure gain a competitive edge over organizations that lag behind with legacy solutions. See how an AdaptivEdge partnership can help you maximize the advantages of your migration.

Improved Business Continuity

Maintaining a geographically secondary data center for backup and site resiliency is not only expensive and operationally taxing, but it can also slow down your recovery after an outage. With Azure, you’ll get built-in backup and recovery capabilities to make data protection and restoration faster. At AdaptivEdge, we’ve helped numerous clients over the years leverage Azure to assess, design, and implement business continuity solutions for critical systems and applications.

Better Flexibility, Lower Operational Costs

On-premises server platforms are expensive, requiring significant maintenance and upgrade costs over the long term. Many organizations have fueled digital transformation initiatives (and saved money) by adopting Azure, which provides infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) capabilities. These capabilities allow organizations to either eliminate their own data centers or augment their current capacity with scalable resources that can be provisioned in minutes. In the long term, applications that can be rebuilt, refactored, or re-architected to run on Azure’s PaaS architecture will benefit from this move.

We’ve helped many clients port legacy applications to Azure, realizing significant ROI and unlocking new DevOps capabilities.

Unified Management with Hybrid Cloud & Azure ARC

Historically, businesses that continue to maintain their own data centers have had challenges when onboarding to Azure due to the hybrid IT environment this creates. Issues like disjointed processes, fragmented monitoring, security vulnerabilities, and increased complexity made it difficult to manage both on-premises and cloud resources effectively.

With new Microsoft features like Azure ARC — a new unified management platform — we can help you bridge the gap between your data centers and the cloud and enjoy consistent, secure, simplified operations.

Our 4 Steps for a Successful Azure Migration

Start your Azure migration with AdaptivEdge! Here’s how the process will work:

  1. Following our consultation, we kick off your Azure migration project by discovering and assessing on-premises resources with the Azure Migrate tool. This maps application dependencies to ensure we clearly understand all the services you’ll need for a successful migration.
  2. Next, we design an Azure architecture and topology, accounting for redundancy, availability, authentication, and security requirements.
  3. Based on the architecture, we’ll price out the Azure resources to ensure the project cost fits within budget and delivers a strong return on investment.
  4. We’ll perform your migration in phases, typically migrating one application or service at a time. Additional applications or services are migrated iteratively.
